QA Engineer/ Sr. QA Engineer, System Testing



Responsibilities:

  • Review system test requirements, including performance, scalability, load, stress, stability, workflows, etc.
  • Design test cases, contribute in test automation and execute test cases.
  • Deliver committed tasks on time with excellent quality.
  • Provide feedback to various project stakeholders based on system behaviors.
  • Work with R&D, PM and Project mgmt team to get the product released with high quality.
  • Monitor the defects and work with development teams in getting them resolved.
  • Escalate issues to the right stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Ensure the system requirements are well defined by product management team
  • Ensure user documents are synchronized with the product features and they are usable by the end customers
  • Ensure there is a proper automation done for system test tasks for better accuracy and faster execution
  • Interact with other teams and forums to acquire more knowledge with respect to product, domain, technology, test tools and customer issues
  • The candidate should be self motivated and driving for the quality results
  • Supporting the QA manager in managing the various phases of test engineering projects such as initiation, planning, execution, control and closure.
Requirements:

  • BS/BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MCA with 4+ years of experience on system testing.
  • Must have strong analytical and technical skills to understand system behaviors from customer perspective.
  • Require excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience on test design, automation and execution with respect to performance, scalability, load, stress, stability, workflows, etc.
  • Hands on experience on system test tools such as LoadRunner, TeamQuest, etc.
  • Must have a strong record of delivering the tasks on schedule.
  • Familiarity or working experience testing QuarkXPress, XTensions etc.
  • Familiarity or working knowledge of performance measurement and load testing tools
  • Good exposure on testing software and hardware products.
  • Familiar with software industry system test case design concepts, strategies and methodologies
  • Cross-platform expertise such as Windows and Mac.
  • User level knowledge of at least two major Quark products preferably
